This advanced course in major gifts begins with a five-day intensive program to introduce you to the world of major gift fundraising, using case examples and best practices.
Beginning in the classroom…
With a maximum of five students per class, you will be taken through the full cycle of major gifts and strategic prospect engagement. From case development and prospect identification and research to communications. From volunteer recruitment and management, to cultivation, solicitation and stewardship best practices.
Implemented in your organization…
To ensure students are able to take their learning off the page to advance the fund development operations of their organization, each student then receives the benefit of 12 months of coaching from a senior RBR major gifts professional. Tailored to each professional’s portfolio and each organization’s specific major gift goals; coaching is provided to students and the entire development team (staff and volunteers as appropriate) using a blend of on-site and remote (web and phone based) coaching methods.

Designed for organizations with a slate of newly recruited professionals with minimal fund development experience and/or senior fund development teams required to take their organization into a new level of fund development.
A minimum of 3 students is required for enrollment in this variation of the Major Gifts module. The classroom intensive material is specifically tailored for your organization. Your team will then have the benefit of 12 months of coaching in your working environment to ensure all staff members are able to implement the best practices associated with raising your organization to another level of fund development. These organizational packages are specifically tailored to meet the specific development needs and goals of your organization.
